Nairobi, 6th February 2024: The Equity Afia franchise has extended its local footprint to 102 clinics in the country with the opening of seven new clinics. The new facilities located in Migori town, Nyamira town, Busia town, Bomet town, Mpeketoni town, Iten town, and Kwale town, underscore Equity Afia's dedication to fostering inclusivity by ensuring access to affordable, high-quality healthcare across the country.

The newly opened facilities will contribute to the enhancement of accessibility to a wide range of healthcare services and quality for the local communities. The clinics are staffed by full-time medical doctors who are alumni of the Equity Leadership program (ELP), supported by accredited clinical teams, ensuring a consistent and elevated standard of care.

The Clinics offer comprehensive primary care, expanded vaccine coverage, and enhanced access to specialized medical services. Furthermore, the centers are dedicated to providing free medical services and educational initiatives to neighboring communities, fostering awareness and utilization of the clinic's offerings.

The newly established clinics are strategically located, including Banana Centre along Awendo-Migori Highway in Migori, Chamat Holdings in Bomet town, Iten Kerio Road (adjacent to Equity Bank) in Iten, Nyamira Plaza in Nyamira Town, Mpeketoni Town opposite Premium Butchery and Hotel, Khetia Supermarket building in Busia town, and opposite Kenya Women Federation in Kwale Town.

Equity Afia's medical model adopts an inclusive approach to positively influence how Kenyans perceive and seek medical treatment, offering various payment options such as cash, digital payments, NHIF, private insurance covers, micro-medical insurance, and informal health funds.

The Equity Afia franchise was established in 2015 to expand access to affordable, quality healthcare. The franchise plans to expand to 1,000 centers across East and Central Africa by 2030, with new clinics to be set up in DRC in 2024.
